[He was wondering when Teddie would call. Hell, it happens so often that some nights he just waits for Teddie to call and then go to sleep. Saves him the trouble of getting woken up. But not this time--he was exhausted from the past few days, and flops down on his bed to get some shut eye.

There's a terribly long pause on his end as he tries to comprehend Kaneda's response. No no, that's all wrong. Where's the surprise? The shock and awe? Teddie's been practicing this all night - sorry roomies - Kaneda can't just crush his dreams like that!]
