[It's consolation he needs, honestly. Right now Kaneda feels like he's losing grip of what stability this house had. Letting it go into dangerous territory is hard for him when he'd worked so hard to achieve what he did. Ken and Tetsuo were getting along just fine now, and he couldn't ask for anything better...but now this was getting into psychic powers, and things he couldn't protect from.

It's nice to be the one comforted. Even if it's something he doesn't think he'll ever fully get over.]
