[Tetsuo doesn't react. His pride is too far gone to fight against his own comfort or resist. Nowhere is okay; all semblance of safety is gone. How can it be that one person, rendered ordinary, can still be so powerful?

All of Tetsuo's abilities are still useless in this scenario. If there's a way to rip knowledge clean out of someone and leave them less of a person for it, he doesn't know how, or where to begin. Pan never fails... That's the most unfair part of all of this.

He goes a little more limp in Kaneda's grasp, leaning lightly against him]

He's not allowed to win...

[There's something pleading about that statement, begging Kaneda to agree with him. Or telling the world to change, just a little. Enough to let him slaughter Pan like the dog he is.]

[Those arms hold strong, gaze fixated on that window. Even with the house warded, Pan had somehow found his way inside. It wasn't anything much, but that was only this time. Who knows when it would be okay. Or if even going outside would be safe anymore.

Kaneda was brave, and confident. But Inuyasha had said that they couldn't fight magic with what they had. The Blue Beetle said magic operated outside of logic.

What could they possibly fight it with?]

[For all that Tetsuo believed he could accomplish, Kaneda couldn't stop Pan from killing him before. The alternative theory to why he died was not one Tetsuo liked.]

[That push moves him ever so slightly, as if deciding if Tetsuo's arms are enough strength to lift, but to no nice.]

[OH COME ON. Fine. He'll brace his arms, with no good leverage, against Kaneda's chest and push as hard as he can. Then try to wrench to the side when that doesn't work. Then try shoving at one side of him.

[There, that'll show him. Aren't you glad that Tetsuo's gotten so good at banter after all his adventures?]

[Kaneda watches as Tetsuo struggles, noticing his body shift and sway to Tetsuo's pushes, but nothing more.]
