The Police aren't always good, Kuma. And when they are sometimes the bad guys are stronger.


It's easier to ignore it than to get in its way.

[What's that, a sudden burst of anger? Incidentally, from the same kid who always takes the easy way out.]

You saw what happened when people were ignoring the bad guys, they attacked a party! That had babies! That's...that's bad, they should work harder!

[He kind of gets where Teddie's coming from, he really does. There are some things you just don't do--attacking babies? Definitely on that list. But at the same time...what else can he expect from the police? He'd spent a good majority of his life living off their incompetence.

Not that he'll say that out loud...]

[The way he says it, though, it's heavily sarcastic. As if imPorts were just tools that the government tried to pass off as a backup to law enforcement's fuck ups.]

[Of course, this being Teddie, he totally takes that the wrong way. Kaneda's right, they do have them. People with superpowers. He was brought here to fight bad guys, that's exactly what he should be doing!

And if all of them are in one place, it shouldn't take very long at all!]

I'm gonna start by writing them a super angry letter.

[The comment catches him off guard, eyes widening a moment before he exhales, almost humorously. A part of him even wonders if anyone's even ever TRIED that.

[The words that come out of Teddie's mouth next are dripping with nothing but pure disgust. Oh, he knows exactly what he'd tell them.]

I'd tell them to work harder or else I'll tell their boss to take away all their snacks.

[There's a moment of silence, a stuttering cough before bursting out into laughter. It's not meant to be at Teddie, really!]
